Hi carro,

Finchley Lane isn't too far from me! I live on Vivian Avenue which is right next to Hendon Central tube station!

Where abouts in South East London do you live now?

Hi katie06,

I know it is a bit late to be asking because your appointment is today but how bad is the hair on your face?

One of my main problems/ symptoms apart from irregular periods is excessive hair. I have it everywhere even in uncommon places for PCOS. I have not had IPL laser treatment before but I have had Aculight laser treatment for 3 years on my face which has made very little improvement for me. I guess in my case while I was trying to have the excess hair removed with laser treatment my body was/ is still producing more/ new hair at the same time so I seem to be going around in circles! I guess another reason why it did not make a difference is because I was not doing anything else to help, e.g. change of diet, taking meds or exercise!

But it is different for everyone and there is nothing to say that it will not work for you. In fact, I would be really interested to know how it goes for you. Please do keep me posted if you decide to go for more treatments...

Default scary but less hairy

hey asianaaaa,
after i got myself all worked up about it, to the point of almost ringing to cancel.. now i dont see what i was so dubious about, and thankfully, as is usally the case, the rubbish i read on the internet was not true.
1. it didnt hurt 2. the girl was really nice and quite understanding (her sister has PCOS apparently) and 3. the price was really really good. so all thats left now is to see whether it works or not! i have to be honest, im feeling so positive about the whole situation i really hope it works, i do feel less....bristly? a little smoother, which is nice, more feminine for sure - which is something ive missed! but like i said, thats treatment 1, i have another 3 sessions booked.. but so far so good, so i would say definatly give it a try! its cheap enough to have a go even if the results dont turn out to be amazing! but, heres hoping, yay depicool!

Hi katie06,

That is soooo great! I am really happy for you! I have my fingers crossed! Keep me posted on how things go...

As for me, I am going to start doing some research on IPL laser treatment. Feel a bit gutted though seeing that I paid for 3 years worth of treatment on Aculight and it didn't even work! But it is nice to know there is another option

Take care and best of luck,

Asianaaaa
