I am looking for an Endo dr. in the Dallas area (I really mean anywhere within a 30 min. drive from Dallas) on the advice of my family dr. She gave me 3 names: Dr. Duvuuri, Dr. Aronoff, & Dr. Sorsby. These are all supposed to be wonderful dr.'s but thay are all diabetes specialists. Is this what I am looking for or not? If so has anyone been to see these dr.'s? If not, can you fine ladies recommend someone to me? Thanks for all of your help!!!
I really like Dr. Brian Barnett, up at Presbyterian of Plano. He is an RE but he also does treat PCOS problems and not just infertility. He is very personable and easy to deal with.
I've met Dr. Aronoff before and I wouldn't go there unless you do have diabetes. Most of the endocrinologists just do not know what to do with PCOS.
Ok, well my Dr. referred me to Dr. Sorsby in Dr. Aronoff's office. I called to speak to the office & she assured me that they do treat PCOS. We will see if she was right or not. If Dr. Sorsby doesn't work out I will definitely try Dr. Barnett. Thank You!
Babygirl ~ I see Dr. Sorsby and he is the BOMB!! He has helped me so much with my PCOS. He put me on the correct combo of meds and I started getting my cycles regularly for the first time ever in my life and my diabetes became very well controlled. I was pg within 3 months of my first visit. He is very knowledgeable about PCOS and so is his NP ~ Theresa Mueller. I see Dr. Sorsby every other visit and Theresa every other visit. If you have any other ?'s just let me know. I can't recommend him highly enough!! My blood sugars are awesome now and I know it is just a matter of time before I get pg again. Not sure if you are ttc or just wanting diabetes care but he helped me immensely in both areas. Good Luck!!!

Well, good to know that someone has had success with this doctor. That helps me feel better!!! I am not TTC but more in the early stages of being diagnosed still. Dr. Sorsby is more like my final confirmation of the PCOS. So far my family dr. & my GYN are not very knoweldgeable on the topic & want me to see a specialist to decide on a course of treatment. Hopefully everything will work out for the best. Thanks for your input stillhavehope!!!
I saw Dr kathleen Wyne- Endo at UT southwestern Medical center. She herself has done research in Insulin resistance and is a very friendly person to talk to. I was very comfortable with her. Her nurse too Kay MacWilliams is very nice, I always bother her with my emails she always responds to them promptly.

I had my appt. on the 1st w/ Dr. Sorsby. He & his nurse were very nice & very helpful in answering my questions. He ordered a HUGE list of tests for me to help get some answers & also to rule out all other possible causes other than PCOS. I went to the lab Friday morning & should get my results back sometime this weekend or early next week. Then Dr. Sorsby said they will call me to set up another appt. & discuss my results & where to go from there. So far so good! I will let you all know how my next appt. goes!
P.S.- Sorry for delay in posting about my appt. I had a death in the family last week & have been very busy with my loved ones.
