Different bcp are good for different people, so unfortunately you have to try them out yourself. I think all bcp are *supposed* to regulate your periods and they all have their list of side effects that might or might not occur with you. My daughter found Diane 35 worked like a charm with some of her symptoms. Some people find Yasmin fantastic, some don't. There are soooo many choices out there, but there are some guidelines for what bcp to use for treatment of PCOS. I would suggest you do a search (google.ca is a good engine) for bcp and PCOS. You can also check http://pcosupport.org as they would probably have some information for you. It's the *official* PCOS site and although large, if you take your time and poke around there you can usually find what you need. Good luck finding one that works for you.
From days as a teenager, tricyclen was the pill of the day in terms of bcp for most teenagers/young women. I didn't use, but like the other person posted said, one bcp is not right for every woman. Each bcp has a different combination % of estro and prog, unless you go prog only. I use Triquilar, but also used Triphasil, same pill, different company. It depends on whether or not you have regular cycles of af to begin with, but you want control against pregnancy and reduced pms and moodiness, the list goes on.
Diane 35 is suppose to be good for woman with severe acne, hair loss, hair growth in male growth areas, etc. This one had a warning put out in 2005 from Health Canada. So you might want to confer with your practitioner to confer if this is truly a good option. I have also read that you can only stay on this particular pill for 6mths. Not sure if there's truth behind that or not. I seen reviews on this website about it, can't posted the url yet, not enough posts. but if you google diane 35, it is sure to come up.

I have been on Alesse and Marvelon, and found Marvelon to work the best for me. I had absolutly beautiful skin and hair while on it, and dropped a good 30 lbs. My AF came every 25 days while on it too. The only problem i had while on it was in the first 2 months, the estrogen spike turned me into a monster.
Alesse did nothing.

Cyntha, its the NuvaRing. you put it in, and 3 weeks later you take it out. best thing is if you forget to take it out its still good for an extra week!
I LOVE IT!

Do you have to get fitted for it like the diapharm? Just curious, might be an option to consider. My biggest fear is that I will have severe cramping like I do when I use tampons. Not sure why that happens, but it does.
