Default Looking for bible study buddies!

I am looking for some buddies to do bible study with. We can do it by email or private message. I am trying to get deeper in the word and I think it would be fun to have someone to learn with.
God Bless,
Melissa

I would like to try also, I am currently doing a study with a friend right now but not doing so well, maybe something a little different would give me some incentive. My e-mail is mandyrobcaitlin@verizon.net

I wonder if we would get into trouble if we just did it on this thread? Or should we just do it by email? I am really excited about this. Let me know ladies and we will start soon.

*raises hand*

Um...did you intend this to just be women only? Because I am a guy so I don't know if you would still like me to be a part of the study. I would like to but if this is one of those gender specific Bible studies, just let me know.

Absolutley, guys are allowed. I have no idea how to this though. I have never held a bible study group or even been a part of one for that matter. I am just desperate to nourish my relationship with God, and hopefully help others do the same and vice versa.
I am very excited about this. Any suggestions on how to start it or where to begin are appreciated. I thought maybe we could start by concentrating on something going on in someones life right now, and study the bible about it and go from there. But I am game for anything. All we can do is pray and ask God for guidance in this. If anyone has any subjsct or scripture to study you can go ahead and post it and we will start it anytime you all are ready. Feel free to jump in. If we have any probs fromt he mods, then we can do it throough our own personal email. I dont want to step on anyones toes. Hope to hear from you soon.

Oh, ok great! I am kind of in the same position spiritually as you as I used to be really on fire for God and I am looking to stop the nonsense and get back to that. As for possible ideas, maybe focusing on some current world events and seeing what our thoughts are on it coupled with what the Bible says about it would prove to be interesting. Like one poster can find a story to share and start off the discussion and others can chime in...

i'd like to join in. I think that is a great idea about world events. I find it very interesting to see what the bible has to do with events going on in the mid east. I listened to a good message a while back that dealt with world events and bible prophesy. You can listen to it at http://www.perrystone.org/audio_messages.cfm

down load the "REVELATION OF THE MYSTERY HID IN GOD!" Listen and tell me what you think.

Ava,
Will listen when I get a free moment today.

I have been reading this book called how to study the bible for yourself, sh had picked it up for me at walmart. One of the tips it gives it to pick a book and study it for 30 days. I am studying 1st John, the 1st book it suggests to study. And Already it has made me dig deeper into the word. For example, the book says that 1st josh teaches us 27 things God wants us to know. I have only found a hand full. So if you want to study it and we can help each other fill in the blanks, that would be cool. It is a very short book, and can be read in about 15 minutes. Let me know who is interested and I will start posting the things I have found so far.
Oh please keep us in your prayers. This is a very important weekend for dh and me. Our 1st round of clomid has gave us some follies and I should ovualte this weekend! But dh is sick and that could dampen the whole situation. So please keep us in your prayers. Blessings!
Melissa

I thought this was interesting because back when 9-11 happened and we started really warring I found this in my Bible and just thought it fit in.
Luke 21:9 "When you hear of wars and disturbances, do not be terrified; for these things must take place first, but the end does not follow immediately." The reason it was so interesting to me is because I do not consider myself a Godly person and have never really read the Bible, but I was thumbing through and found this at a time that was a little scary. Everything in the Bible correlates to what is going on in our times we just have to find it.

Hey ya'all!

I had a thought! A rare occasion, believe me!

What if I set us up a messageboard/group at MSN? You don't have to have an MSN account to use it, and we can have more than one study going on at once. That way if we wanted to study current events and 1 John we could do it at the same time.

All I'll need is everybody's email so I can send the invitations to join. You will need a user name like you did to join here, but your email can be from anywhere.

Is that a good idea? Just let me know...

Hugs
Julie
