Hello Ladies! How is everyone doing!?! Well, I got my second beta today....1881! It's only been a week since I last had it done! I am in total shock. I wasn't expecting it to be that high. I thought maybe ~800ish. Do you think it's possible that I may be having twins? I'm scared!

Dimples: Great Beta! I'm not sure about the twins... I don't really know anything about it but I think it suppose to double every day or something. I hope that helps!

Sorry about being negative. I was going through some stuff.

Dimples, I havent gotten one yet, and i am not sure if i will be getting one. If i was it would be Dr S Iwaniki, but i was refered to him. They usually dont get you in to see one until about 20 wks.

Hi ladies. I'm in Calgary too, just diagnosed in Feb after an u/s. My Dr. wasn't convinced it is PCOS, so he's sending me to the fertility clinic. I've been anxiously waiting news of an apointment, but I called today and they said 3 to 5 months. I was a bit disapointed, but not suprised I guess. I just thought I'd put this here in case Violet is still waiting to hear about an apointment too. Wow, I'm glad I didn't wait any longer before starting this whole process.

Cheryl: Welcome! I waited 7 months for my first appointment so 3-5 is awesome. I know that's probably not what you wanted to hear but I was trying to brighten your day :-) What are your PCOS symptoms?

Cheryl - Welcome! Did you do an blood work? What did the ultra sound say? I went to the women's clinic in Sunridge and they gave me clomid right away because my bloodwork and u/s showed PCOS. If you want a second opinion I would go there. They are a group of women specializing in women's health. They are so helpful.

Weemes, now that I think of it, I think she did say 5-7 months. How depressing. My symptoms are just really irregular and long periods. but the u/s showed cysts all over the ovaries

Dimples - As for the blood work, my dr. did some, but I don't know that it showed anything. I didn't have to fast or do anything specific with my diet, so I'm assuming it wasn't any type of blood sugar test. do you have more info on this clinic at sunridge? do you need a referal? I'm not sure I'm ready for Clomid, but I do want a definate diagnosis and discuss treatment options etc.

Cheryl: Are you on met? If not it would be good if you could get on Met prior to joining the clinic because it will really regulate you. That is if you need it, you'll have to have the IR test. When I went on Met it was night and day. Then finally when I went to the clinic we didn't have to focus on problems with my cycle, we just had to focus on getting me to ovulate. But then my DH had no sperm and now we're focusing on nothing.
