I got to my dr on Valentine's Day where I learned that she is going to refer me to a fertility clinic. I really, really don't want to have to go, but I am still glad that she isn't going to try to fix me first. I wasn't able to ask for a specific fertility dr, so I am just sitting around waiting for the call to see who I get. She also wants me to get a pelvic ultrasound done which I have booked for March 4. She also wants DH to get a SA so we have all that information before we get to our fertility clinic appt. I didn't tell DH about that one until the day after Valentines. He took that news pretty well and even got a form yesterday to get a SA. I am happy he is taking initiative too. For now I am just going to keep going to acupuncture once a week until benefits run out. I am really hoping that it is the answer to us TTC. She also wants me to temp so I have been doing that for a little over a week now. Luckily I haven't been obsessing yet. |

Be prepared for the long wait to get into the clinic, if they havent called by May call them and see how far down the list you are. I hope your wait is short, and congrats on AF! What CD are you on? I am still waiting on mine, some time between now and Tuesday I am sure she will visit, as my last pill was on Tuesday. (Hugs)

I am just curious though. For you girls that went to a fertility clinic, how long did it take to actually just get an appointment to the clinic? And how long did you wait to get into the fertility clinic? I don't mind waiting for the appointment, but I am minding the wait of when am I going to find out about it. I never asked my dr that one. At least I can look forward to knowing that I do have an u/s appt for March. I am not looking forward to drinking all that water, but at least I got the appt. Do they usually tell you the results right away of a pelvic u/s? I am on CD11 right now so I am hoping to get some good BDing in the next week or two. I don't know if it will work or not. My acupuncturist wants me to hold off this month so she can figure out my temps, but I don't know if I can hold off IF the signs are right. I understand that she wants to figure things out, but what if this is THE month that we are successful at TTC? I can't ignore any chance. Shejayd - hope AF shows for you as well, but it sounds like it will. The worst thing is the waiting game to see when it is going to show. | |

| Much better Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Calgary Canada ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I got AF today. This is totally exciting, as i am sure i will O soon...Although 14 days isnt that soon, but still, no harm in hoping...Thats if i O at all. I got an appointment at the genetics clinic for Feb 27 to get an accurate reading on my fetal karyotyping results. So I am nervous and excited about that. Its our last appointment before we are "allowed" to TTC. Meh, i could care less, you cant stop me from BDing. Violet- Same to you, if you have to signs, no point in waiting, cause it could always be the time right? I hope that you dont have to go to the RFC and everything works out. Pelvic u/s results usually come 2 days after you do the u/s. And with the wait for the RFC, I only waited 2 months, but i was refered to the Recurrent Loss Clinic, out of the fertility clinic (same office, same doctors, different testing) So i think thats what got us in quicker. I hear that the average wait is between 3-5 months, and it might even be more now because there are so many people waiting to get in. My friend Terra has waited over a year, but had to cancel her last appointment from September, so was put on the list again. If you do need to go, i hope that your wait is short. Mel- Where are you? Whats new?? Hows your cycle going? Anything new? Emily- Hi- (waves)

| tic toc goes the clock Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Canada ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi Ladies, I was in Van/Seattle last weekend so I'm just back now. Violet: I waited from July to January 2nd for my first appointment. Then they meet you, send you off for tests and tell you to come back in 3 months. The wait is a killer. I'm not trying to get you down- I just wish someone had told me that realistically it would be a year to start any treatments. Did your DH get a s/a? They'll want one prior to your first appt and sometimes to get into the lab it can be a month wait so call as early as you get your rec form. I never had to do the water thing for my u/s. It was internal and they want you to have an empty bladder for it. That was so handy! They don't give results over the phone but you could ask a ton of questions to the u/s tech about what they see. I asked how thick my lining was, if I had any polys, fibroids, cysts and if I had any follies. Sheena: I'm glad you got AF- now you can get started. I have my next appt on Monday. Yahoo- that was the longest 12 weeks of my life!

WOW, $200, unreal, I thought it was like 20k! That's so wonderful. I'd love to hear more details about him, how old is he and so on...

| Much better Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Calgary Canada ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Update- Good news! We saw the genetacist today....If DH is a carrier of Angelmans he has an extremely low risk (dr said 1-5%) what a relief. I found out that i would have had a girl...That was a little hard to hear, but also a relief at the same time to actually know...46 xx normal female karyotype...He also told us that now is the best time to TTC because i am fresh off the pill and my eggs are rearing to go...Hehehehe. So we have been BDing, and wont stop until CD22, which what FF calculated as my usual o time prior to the pill. I might even have a normal cycle this time, so i could o as soon as CD 8-14...ARG! I am getting way to involved again...Oh well. I am in a fantastic mood. Shawna - Hhhiiiiiiii! I have missed you! Thats so exciting about your process! Adoption is so wonderful. How old is he? I really hope everything goes as planned. How are you? Hows work and life and all that mushy stuff?? Mel- Boo! Eekk.... Lol. I am in a really good mood. I wish you could all have my a piece of my mood.

You must be so excited to get started. I'm glad you put a ticker on so I can keep up with your cycle! Edit- Sheena, I couldn't see your chart, it was just a link to the ticker factory thing. Am I doing something wrong? Also, I just read your blog, your picture looks awfully familiar...
