I was thinking this time the best place would be the McNight Humpty's, or Dennys. Since that is a little more central. Feedback pls.

McNight & Edmonton trail right? That sounds prefect to me, I'd prefer Denny's over Humptys. I often feel rushed at Humptys. You?

| Registered User Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Canada ![]() | Finally...I feel better. Last weekend DH was sick and then last week, I ended up getting sick. Yay! But now I just have a plain old cold so I can deal with that. Anyways, I have my pelvic ultrasound tomorrow afternoon. I am just wondering if there is anything I should be asking or do I just lay there and watch? Should my family dr call me back with results? |

Good luck! Mel- ??? Good news bad news? News in general? How is/was your appointment?

| tic toc goes the clock Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Canada ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | We're back from our appt, it went so fast. Again I felt really rushed and although I did ask a ton of questions of course I left with more. I'm kind of on information overload so here we go. Chickenpox- good- no vaccination required Rubella- Good too HIV & Hep- Good for both of us which we knew but basically we wanted to make sure they hadn't lost the results My u/s- all good as I said before, no cysts, polyps, or fibroids DH u/s- perfect, completely normal anatomy, no blockages and he DOES have a vas DH b/w- not so good. High FSH meaning his testicles are working overtime and low testosterone. They didn't say they can help this Y-chromosome micro deletion test. NOT IN! I was so miff'd I paid $400 to have it not in?!? This is the good news: DH is NOT a carrier of CF. They said it would take 5 months for his kaerotyping to come back and it was back already. It's completely normal. I was miff'd about this too because the doctor told us how to proceed based on the fact that these tests won't be in till June. Then when I sent the nurse to hunt down my chickenpox results she came back with both of them. So the dr was gone and we had the results... when I asked to speak to him again they said he was doing a procedure. They did say that if his genetic testing was normal they would guess we have a 33% chance that they can find sperm. This is low, but at least I have something to pray for. Bad news: The stupid wait! We can't go back until I get my HSG. I wouldn't leave with out a RX to bring on AF if she decides not to show again. DH has to see the urologist (in the same clinic) and he can't get in until April 7th. At that time he just meets the guy and goes over history and previous tests. At that time the urologist decides if DH qualifies for a biopsy. Then we book for a biopsy and it can be a 12 week wait for that. Then if he DOES have swimmers, they will try to freeze them but no promises. We'd go ahead with IVF. If he has none, we proceed with IUI using a donor. If his sprem don't make it through the freezing then they will do another biopsy the date of the IVF. Apparently there is no wait for this as they can just use the other side. Plus I guess it only takes about a month to recover. So now we wait. The wait for IVF was 5-9 months anyways and we didn't get on that list until Feb 1. Hopefully by the time DH is done meeting the Urologist, waiting for the biopsy and then getting it done we will be through the majority of the IVF wait. So good and bad... I'm so happy he's genetically ok. The sad part is that there is a 66% chance of using a donor but I'm trying to stay positive.
