Hello, I am trying to locate a doc in Spokane Washington for my mother. Would like to find someone who is family oriented, as my little sisters are coming of age and will most likely carry the PCOS gene. I have checked all of the registries that I can find and no one in the area is listed. My mother most likely has PCOS, I do and she has all of the symptoms. I didn't find out I had it until I moved away, because no doctor I saw wanted to work with me to find out the problem, or they just were not knowledgable in the area. All they wanted to do what diet. Anyway, I am finding that the gene affects boys and men as well and have found that my little brother who is 14 almost 15 has a lot of the same problems I have with health, of course not menstrual.
