My Mood: Points: 1,368.82 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 1,368.82 | Looking for a doctor in Hampton Rds, VA Hey ladies! I need some help in finding a good OBGYN and RE in the Hampton Roads area of VA. Also they need to accept Tricare Standard insurance. Tricare Prime is trying to make me to go to the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth and my husband and I have decided to switch my care because of all the negative things we have heard about that facility. Thanks for any help you all can give!

My Mood: Points: 269.63 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 269.63 | Go to the Naval Hosp. I'm a military brat and grew up in the Hampton Roads area most of my life. I would tell you to run to the Naval Hospital. I had some of the best excperinces there. Before I lost my benifits my Dr was there and was one of the best. They are actually the one's who diagnosed me. Unfortunitly I don't have those privilages anymore so I'm not as lucky as you, but I would say go their better than most people give them credit. |

I have already been in to see her and I love her! Plus the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth is really BAD! I just talked to a fellow Navy spouse from the hubby's ship and they accidently switched her paperwork with someone elses, told her she had cervical cancer, and removed 3/4 of her cervix before realizing they made a mistake. NO THANK YOU!

What's the name of your doc in Va beach? My parents live there and I wouldn't mind driving if she's really good. Is she an Endo or GYN?

I would have never went to Ports. to save my life on it but thats JMHO. The Dr who delivered me retired but they were directly across the street from VA Beach General. I cant say I liked that practice but I did like my Dr. A friend of mine has been there since and says everyone now is really nice. Good luck!

I'll let you know if I find anyone good in the area.

I gave birth ta 2 children one of which was a c-section there before I ever had any symptoms of PCOS. It was there that I was dxed with PCOS and where I begam my treatment for secondary infertilty.
I can say that I am now seeing an awsome Dr in Richmond because they are now closer for me to see as we moved 2 hrs west of hampton rds, but Don't believe everything you here about a place, it doesn't matter where you go there is always going to be someone unsatisfied with a horror story. Then you have to realize that most DR's in hampton rds and elsewhere as far as that goes where trained by the military.
If you do how ever need a good Dr in the richmond area the richmond fertility instituite is awsome.
