Looking for doctor in Ottawa

Hey all,

I am looking for a new doctor in ottawa. As mentioned in another thread, i feel as though I am not getting the care that I should with my current Endo.

As an example, she doesn't take the time to answer my concerns, she gives me a prescriptions and sends me on my way as though its all i go there for and such. If i ask for blood tests the request is ignored.. i just feel as though i should get more from her than I am. Even my family doctor is researching things a bit when i tell her of a new symptom or somesuch and calls me at home or work to explain to me what she recommends. ..

Anyhoo...

If you can tell me who you are seing and what your experiences have been concerning your doctor, his/her knowledge and understanding of PCOS and TTC, how he/she treats patients, do they take the time to talk or its a hi and bye type thing.. you know, things like that.. it would be greatly appreciated.. I could then ask my family doctor to make a recommendation and such.

I see Dr Paul Claman at the Civic (parkdale clinic)

I was referred to him back in 97 and for the first time he put me on the right track...i acheived pregnancy and he also is the one who got me started on metformin...no one else seemed to know what to do with me.

He's a no nonsense kind of guy but he listens, and i believe he's the cheif doc there...very much affiliated with ottawa u also.
