Hi,
I'm looking for a Dr in Seattle Wa (including Bellevue, Redmond , Kirkland WA) area - would like someone knowledgeable about PCOs testing and treatment
thank you!
This is mainly a fertility place in Seattle, but they DO treat PCOS: http://www.seattlefertility.com/pcos.html I've heard really good things about them. Unfortunately, they don't accept my insurance so I couldn't go to them (for fertility). I came across one cyster here who sees Dr. Klein and she really likes her.
Good luck!!

Oh, you're welcome! I really hope your app't. goes well! And, sorry, I haven't come across any support groups. Maybe try checking http://www.pcosupport.org/ Check out the communities link; they might have something listed.
Good luck! Let me know how it goes, k?

Hi This is my first post ever, so I am not sure if I am even doing it right. I am looking for other moms or hopeful moms with PCOS ( like me) for support & advice while trying to become pregnant and lose weight. I am in the Seattle area. Is any one else in the area? Hope4baby soon!!
I saw Dr. Maureen Marshall at Swedish First Hill (is that right? Is there a First Hill and is there a Swedish on it???)
I just saw her for PCOS, not fertility - she is a regular endocrinologist. I thought she was really good.

I see Dr. Woodford at Pacific Northwest Fertility in the Madison Building on the Swedish Hospital Campus on Pill Hill.
I have not seen my doctor a ton, but they have been super responsive, always return my calls, easy to get appointments for u/s etc and I really love the nurse practitioner who has done all my ultrasounds.
They have a program where all your test results and records are accessible to you online, which I really like. They seem to be pretty aggresive, I started monitored clomid cycles right away. She's also seemed really open to my input, I feel like treatment is going at my pace which I appreciated, but I think you really have to be proactive.
So far insurance has covered everything for us, but they also have plenty information around about seeing a finance counselor if you need one.
That's my two cents! Good luck with finding a doc!
Betwixt -- Thanks so much for the word on the Seattle Group in Pen Pals, I hadn't seen a Seattle group here yet...I'm going to pop over!

I'm in the Seattle area as well. Trying to decide if I should see an RE or what? My insurance isn't very good so I don't want a ton of appoinments and co-pays! I already have an endo for my thyroid, is that enough? I hope so. I have an appointment with him next week.

If you're in Sammamish I've heard that Overlake Reproductive Health is good, I read about it in Seattle Magazine a while back. Much closer to you than coming all the way into Seattle.
If you're coverage isn't good, make sure your doc understands that, some doctors want to go strait to monitored cycles with u/s and if you're paying out of pockets these expenses can add up fast!
Good luck on your journey!
