Default Looking for feedback :o)

I got the results back from my MRI and dexa, no pituitary mass (large enough to detect anyway) and no osteo. Sometimes you really just want to know what the heck is going on in there, you know?

My prolactin level is high (enough to lactate sometimes) testosterone is 90, blood work confirms no ovulation. Constant headaches or migrines, nausea or vomiting often.... very sleepy.....blah blah blah......

I started taking 10 mg x 12 provera.... nothing. Boosted it up to 30x12... still nothing.

Well that's where I am right now. No AF since last year and still waiting.

Anyone share any of the same symptoms

Hey there,

Unfortunately, I don't have much feedback to offer. My testerone at last check was 97. I have no other knowledge in the other symptoms you mentioned, but I wish you the best of luck!

UMM sounds like me when I was first dx'd a bit.

Metformin actually brought the AF back, but getting the normal "in old range" thyroid treated is what's caused her to actually be on time. Like 30 days instead of once every 60.

my prolactin was high, no pituitary adenoma. that is what earned me the dx of pcos. all i can say is that once i finally got serious about exercising & eating healther, lost about 20 lbs, my periods got back to normal and my prolactin is in the normal range now. i'm still working on weight loss, so that i can be healthier, but they say losing 10% of your weight will help with medical issues. and i can vouch for that being my case.

I had high testosterone and high prolactin. I have had my period on time the last few months though, maybe because I was put on thyroid medication. I read somewhere that vitex, black cohosh and white peony can lower prolactin.

Heres something I found of interest "An increase in the hypothalamic hormone dopamine tells the pituitary to stop releasing prolactin" so maybe people with high prolactin have a lackin of dopamine? I dont really know alot about dopamine but yah...

And also hypothyroid can cause it along with certain prescription drugs and even breast stimulation. Im actually pretty curious about this stuff, ever since I started watching House Im always trying to find out what causes certain things lol.
