Ok... I tried Femara (5 mg) for the first time this cycle. At my follicle study on Day 13, my RE said I have one follicle that was 17x14 and another one on my other ovary that was 18x12. This has was the first time I've ever had follicles doing anything and she said she was looking for anything at least 16mm. I'm curious what results people have had when they had follies that size with Femara and when/if they ovulated. I'm cautiously hopeful. Just glad I know my follicles can actually get bigger... I was beginning to wonder!
Are you doing any sort of trigger shot? are you temping?
I am in my first 2ww on femara 5mg. I had an 18mm and a 16mm on cd 17 and I triggered on the following evening cd 18. I believe I ovulated cd 20. The problem with PCOS is you can grow the follicles but it's getting them to pop that is an issue. I did my p4 on following Friday cd 25, and it's number is 9.43, weak but shows ovulation.

We are not doing a hcg shot this round. My RE says if this round doesn't work, then we will continue with Femara, but add the trigger shot and IUI. Haven't been following my temp... thinking maybe I should start. I guess since my body was doing nothing up until this point, I didn't see any purpose in charting no ovulation. Maybe I'll start?

I'm on day 14 of a 5mg Femara cycle. I had a positive OPK today, so I'm crossing my fingers.
We saw a new RE on Friday and if the Femara doesn't work this cycle we are moving on to injectables.

Hi Shapo! This is my second Femara cycle. My first cycle was 2.5mg CD5-9, and my day 12 follicle scan showed a 32 cm (mm?) follicle on my left ovary. I had the trigger shot but no luck that cycle. I went today for my day 12 scan but none of the follicles were big enough, so I'll go back on Friday to see if any have grown to at least 20 cm. If I get the trigger shot this time, I may also add a progesterone supplement to correct a possible luteal phase defect.
So, I'm not clear if the large follicle last month actually released an egg or not. I'm trying to take this one day at a time, crossing my fingers and hoping for the best. Hopefully there isn't a third cycle for me, but if there is I'm curious to see what the doc wants to try next!
anyone ever heard of ferma shortening your cycle... month 1 on it went from 28 days to 26 this past month down to 24 days...I am usually 28-30. Any thoughts?
Hey ladies! Ihad my cd 14 u/s Sunday & have a beautiful 24mm follie. I triggered & most likely already O'd, based on EWCM & O pain. My fingers are crossed for us all!
