My side effects were not that bad, just some nausea. All worth it. We had 3 follices on our 3rd IUI~that's is the combo that worked for us. Also, I must tell you, I had already made up my mind that it wasn't going to work and that we were moving onto injectibles~I already had the shots pre authorized with my insurance company

It's really great to read about some success stories!

This is my first month TTC with the help of a RE, and he put me on Femara. I didn't have many side effects except for some hot flashes. I didn't get a mature follie until cd17, but the nurse wasn't concerned about that. It was at 19mm, so they gave me the HCG trigger shot (that was yesterday).

I was feeling ill last night, maybe because of the HCG? But I'm doing better today. We're doing timed intercourse this cycle, and I'm to go in for a pregnancy test if AF hasn't arrived by August 11.

It really gives me hope to read about others that have had success using Femara!

I am carrying a femara baby. You can see on my siggy how we did it -- IUI all the way. My doctor doesn't prescribe Clomid for PCOS women, so I don't have a comparison.

GL to all of you. I highly recommend the Femara buddy threads!

I have a question, my Re wants me to take all ten pills in one day, is that normal? I noticed a lot of ladies spread their pills over a few days. I have two appts. on Thursday and I want to get in as much questions as I can. Also, I ovulated on injections, should I ask my doctor to add them to my femara cycle? Or just try the pills only?

Take all 10 pills in one day? Is it PRovera? Or a fetility med? Either way I personally have never heard that. Also I would try the pills first that way you still have another step if pills alone don't work.

Army -- It is unusual but not unheard of; I recall awhile ago a cyster asking the same thing on the femara buddy thread ... I wouldn't worry about it making you sick, I would worry about it working :-)

interesting. I didn't know htey did htat or even gave 10 pills. I was told 5 was the max per cycle.

I am on my first cycle of Femara. I took 10 pills this cycle. I wasnt sure that I ovulated but my day 21 progesterone was 17.88, so my nurse said they considered that ovulatory. I have no idea if it has worked yet or not.

Before it I did 9 cycles of clomid, 3 cycles of injectables and 3 IUIs before I was diagnosed with PCOS. It resulted in one pregnancy and miscarriage at 7 weeks.

I like Femara a lot better then Clomid. The side effects are very few.

Ceecee~ let me know how that works for you. They said I could take the pills anytime throughout the day, but I have to take all 10 that day, so I hope it works.

My doctor's office opened after their holidays and called me to tell me that I did ovulate last cycle with 5 mg of Femara. It was so exciting to hear! This is the 3rd round with Femara and I am doing 5 mg again. Hoping for a BFP this time!

My progesterone level was 83 last cycle. Is it just me or does this sound excessivly high! I want it to be higher than 2 or 3 (like the previous cycles) but is 83 TOO high?
