preferably a female dr that is in the Clear Lake/League City/Dickinson area & familiar with treating PCOS! Dh & I are ttc #2, and my regular ob/gyn isn't familiar with PCOS...
I can't personally recommend her because she's not my RE but I've heard from others who like Dr. Vicki Schnell (sp?) and she's in that area.
My RE who I would HIGHLY recommend, Dr. Randall Dunn is a male, and he's near the Houston Med Center (610&Fannin next to Womens Hospital) but he's WONDERFUL
There are two female docs in his practice if you'd like to check them out, Dr. Leah Schenk and Dr. Cecilia Valdes.

Hi Jen. I am in SE Houston and can recommend a great OB/Gyn (Geffrey Klein) once you are pregnant. I saw Dr. Schenk, who Michelle mentions in her post, and I really like her. Because of the field that I work in, I meet a lot of women that have seen Dr. Schnell, or her new partner, Dr. DeSplinter. The majority of the women seem happy with their experiences and several of them do have PCOS. I think Dr. Schnell is about all you will find on this side of Houston. I have also heard that Vic Patel does fertility stuff in addition to Ob/Gyn, but I haven't heard much about him.
Good luck!

I just moved to the Clear Lake Area & are also on a quest to find a good Dr. I was not happy with my last Ob/Gyn & her narrow view of PCOS & Treatment option....If you find one can you let me know? If you don't mind driving a little & would be okay with a male Dr. there is a Dr. Michael Allon that my sis-in-law goes to & she LOVES him. I don't have insurance right now so I haven't been to him because he is a specialist and expensive w/out insurance. their phone number is 713-467-4488, their address is 9055 Katy Freeway, Suite 450 Houston, TX 77024. I have been with her to one of her appointments & the office is not that far out I-10, pretty close to 610. My sister-in law says it's well worth the drive. He also has a web site - www.drallon.com
Good Luck!
-Amy

OOH, OOH! I saw Dr. Dunn too! It was the first time I had EVER been to a male doc, but since he was never the one checking me out, it was OK. LOVE him. Actually, when we found out we would be moving to a "regular" OB, my DH and I were SAD! OGA really is a great place!!!
Good luck finding a doctor you love!
