looking for a good dr. in the Texas Panhandle

i am trying to find a dr that will understand what i am going through i live a small town in the Texas Panhandle.

What town do you live in? I know of a good doc in Amarillo. Well, I think he is still there. His main area of study is PCOS and infertiliy.

i am 120 miles from Amarillo i live in Perryton

I used to live in Pampa. I know Amarillo is a long way from Perryton--but this doc is well worth the drive. He is at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center--Women's Health or something. His name is Robert Kauffman. He does not make you feel bad about any weight, hair anything. He will spend as much time with you as you need and answer all of your questions. If I still lived there I would still be going to him. I have even thought about going now but that 800 mile drive is a killer

There are also a couple other doctors there that study PCOS. I dont know if this will bother you but.....it is a teaching clinc. There will be med students with the docs when they talk to you and sometimes when they examine you. It didnt really bother me because I always thought that if I was helping a student learn how to identify and diagnose PCOS more power to them.

Thank you so much i am going to look in the phone book and see if i can find a number to the dr and going to talk to my husband tonight and see what he says you have been a big help
