Points: 351.49 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 351.49 | I went to see Dr McGee at the center for fertility and RE down at Magee. She was great. I liked her alot. Of course I only saw her twice because I got pregnant 2 months after starting to see her. I can let you know more if you want.

I heard most the Drs. at Magee are really great with infertility and PCOS. If you can call their main # and ask for a Dr. Mancini, she's heading a study for infertility and PCOS and I don't think it started yet, but it will soon.
Worth a try for the study..they monitor you good, you get free clomid/met and you get paid for doing it.
My health ins. won't kick in until end of May/early June so I'm just researching the Drs. in the area and all signs have been pointing to Magee for the good docs.
BTW...anyone in Pittsburgh interesting in going to Curves with me? I'm about to sign up for the one in squirrel hill and I am sick of waiting for my mom, but I didn't want to have to go at it alone (not having a car doesn't help either).
Everyone says a good key to fertility is getting your body into better shape!

I saw Dr. Deborah Whiteside, a new gynecologist, today. She said all my symptoms are caused by polycystic ovarian syndrome. She referred me to either Dr. Elizabeth McGee or Dr. Gabriella Gosman who are in the same group of reproductive endocrinologist at The Center for Infertility at Magee Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. The first available appointment I could get is with Dr. Elizabeth McGee on Monday, July 7th. They already sent me some paperwork to fill out. So, I am hoping that this long-awaited appointment will provide me with a good outcome.
Thanks for the recommendation. I'll let you know how it goes.

My Mood: Points: 115,902.15 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 115,902.15 | I answered another thread for a Pgh doc - Camille Buonocore is awesome. She is a regular endocrinologist, not an RE. I had UPMC insurace and she was in the plan...
I saw this Dr McGee that was mentioned and I didn't care for her at all. I was not trying to get pregnant and I got the feeling she was one of those who if you weren't trying to get preg, she wouldn't give you the time of day... all she'd offer me was BCPs.
Actually, none of my experiences with Magee hospital were good ones... which I always found very ironic!
She may be different now... but I highly reccomend Dr. B.
