Hi everyone. I am looking to start a support group in my area for Cysters to get together and talk and to start an awareness campaign about PCOS.
Does anyone know of an online source of some information such as pamphlets, flyers, or things of that nature that I could possibly print out and share with the ladies once I get the group started? It doesn't have to be anything fancy and I prefer it be from a reliable source. I've already applied to PAC to be a volunteer and am waiting on approval. I just am so anxious that I want to go ahead and get started on getting some thigns organized for this.
Thanks in advance for any help or advice you all can offer. :-)
Crystal S.

Thanks a bunch, LeeDawson, for the info, for your offer of help, and for the gift. It is all much appreciated. I'm exploring those links and sources now and so far am finding a good deal of helpful information. :-)
BTW, NC is on the southeastern coast of the US. So far support groups here are very hard to find for PCOS. That's part of why I am working on an awareness campaign here in my area. Hopefully it will catch on and spread throughout the state.
Thanks again. If I can ever be of help to you please don't hesitate to let me know.

The site that I am using is wonderful. It is at meetup.com... You can start your own group and see if there are others in your area. It is 19.00 dollars a month but well worth it to have the information there to use. Check out my website pcos.meetup.com/196/
what the site does for you is all you have to do is have adobe reader and make sure info is correct and it does work for you.....also does invitations and much more....
Thanks for letting me know about Meetup.com sunshine. It looks like a pretty interesting way to form a group. Right now since this is pretty much a solo project for me I'm going for something that is free (I hope that doesn't sound cheap LOL), but perhaps once I get an actual group going we might look into starting our own Meetup group.
Good luck with your group and thanks again. :-)

Thank you and goodluck to you...please keep me updated on how your group is going...
I did searches on here and at PCOS Quilt for PCOS'ers in my area, and then emailed them asking if they were interested in meeting from time to time. We started with a Yahoo email group and now have a FREE message board. It's at www.invisionfree.com
You can check mine out in my siggy.
We've been at the message board for almost a year now...its great!
