We were at home - just ate dinner, DD fell asleep - so I laid her in her crib and shut the door to the nursery.

5 min later, DH decided he was going to our bedroom to watch TV (my niece was watching the disney channel in the living room).

10 min later, DH calls me on my cell phone to tell me DD was fussing. (the baby monitor is in our bedroom) So I asked him, "can you get her" - which he did.

But my question is - WHY did I have to ask him to get her?! - Why didn't he just get up and get her?!

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I'm not only sure why he didn't just go get her, but I'm also wondering why he called you on your cellphone, just to tell you that she was fussing ? Is your house that big, that he had to call you on the phone, or did he just not want to get up to tell you, because then he'd already be up & you'd probably have just asked him, since he's already up, why didn't he just go get her ?

I don't know...was he just being silly & playing, or was he serious when he called you to tell you that ? Did he really expect you to go get her ?

My guess is, if he was being serious and really expected you to go and get her, then he was just being lazy...either that or he was really into whatever he was watching & didn't want to leave.

Either way, I think he should have just went & got her, instead of calling you & telling you about her.

1) NO our house is not that big! (boy don't I wish!)

2) Yes, he was serious!

So annoying! I just wanted to make sure I wasn't getting mad at him over nothing.

I've since talked to him about the whole thing (that and several other examples of his bahavior lately) and he didn't even have a reason why he did it.

He's since been doing better.

Thanks a bunch for letting a wife gripe!!
