Sassy ~ I'm picky, too. The pretty stuff out there is really more than you are wanting to spend. That leaves a couple of options. Get something nice and sell it later. Talk your sister into paying for the dress (it's not your fault she skipped the wedding the first time). Spend more money than you had planned. Or, luck into just the right thing at the right price. It's always possible. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

I suggested before but don't know what you think about...
ebay, craigslist, resale shop or try to rent something!
I hope you find something cute and comfy!

I'm so sorry to hear that! I'm a Welfare caseworker, so I see folks everyday who are going through that sort of thing. I hope he finds a new and better job before next weekend. In the mean time, be sure he applies for Unemployment. You can usually do it online now. Forget the all white thing and just wear something that makes you feel pretty.

Fill out the Medicaid application ASAP. You should also apply for WIC. Don't be too proud to apply for Food Stamps, too. If you are eligible it would help you free up available money for bills. If you end up needing help with baby items, the Catholic Charities in your area are usually a good resource. Hopefully, you won't need anything because he'll find something else soon enough that you won't even notice a break in paychecks.

That's actually not a bad idea. Empire waists are everywhere right now. You shouldn't feel limited to the maternity department. I still say you should just wear something you have already that makes you feel beautiful. Does it really matter if you are in the "wedding party" anyway? She's already married, after all.
