Hi Tracy

I don't know of any Docs in Dallas but I went to a Great Perinatologist(spelling) in Fort Worth his name is Stettler he works out of Harris Methodist. He probable doesn't see you unless you have a high risk pregnancy but you could call and ask and maybe they could refer you to a good OB. I have a great OB but I am in Lipan about an 45 min southwest of FortWorth and my OB is in Stephenville. I don't know if you would be willing to drive that far but he is wonderful. His name is Dr. J Smith out of Stephenville Medical and Surgical Clinic. He is PCOS friendly. I hope I was some help If you need anymore info please e-mail me at Stewarts3x@juno.com.

Thanks

Andra

Lightbulb Hi

I'm not really in the dallas area (a little over an hr east,) but I ran across this website the other day for a clinic that specializes in women's hormonal problems including PCOS. You might want to check out the website & see if it's something you're interested in.

htt://www.herplace.com/

It made me wish I lived closer to Dallas. Good luck!

Oh, I just found this post from 1Nuttygirl on the second page of this forum:

I went to a great RE who was very thorough- J. Michael Putman
His office is located off of Gaston Ave. near the hospital.

HTH!

Smile Dr. Chantilis

I go to Dr. Samuel Chantilis. He's an RE that works out of Presby Dallas. He has a website: http://www.dallasfertility.com

I've been really happy there and have referred others with PCO, a friend had gone to another RE elsewhere in the metroplex and was not diagnosed with PCO until she went to Dr. Chantilis - she is now pregnant and due this fall.

That was really funny when I read your post...I have a friend that used to date Sam (Dr. Chantilis). Small world. I don't think I would want to see him as a patient... seeing as I knew him socially...(even though it was several years ago.)

Did he ever get married? He was a nice guy.

Dr. Putman WAS a great RE.
However, he does not do everyday OB/GYN practice. I am also looking for a PCOS-friendly OB/GYN doc in the Dallas area. My dr. who delivered Noah was SUPER at delivering babies, but isn't up to date w/ new PCOS info.

I just got back from my first appointment with my new OB/GYN. I'm now seeing Dr. Clark Griffith at Prebyterian Dallas. I LOVE THIS MAN! For our first meeting, we literally sat down and talked for twenty minutes. I explained my PCOS symptoms, and he suggested changing my birth control, taking Aldactone for my acne and having an IR test in the morning. He is really up to date with PCOS and infertility and he made me feel really comfortable. I told him about all of the research that I've done regarding PCOS and he asked me about specific books and doctors. I have never had a male OB/GYN, but he made me feel really comfortable and at ease. I am really impressed and heartily recommend him!

That is great Tracy! I actually have a friend whose baby was delivered by Felicia Tillman there! She really really liked her! I didn't even consider trying that office. My friend doesn't have fertility issues- so I didn't know if they would be "in the know" on PCOS.

Tracy

If you ever need to find another OB/GYN, I have a great recommendation for you. Dr. Winfred Parnell. His office is at Medical City of Dallas hospital. He is incredible. He is very very very knowledgable on PCOS and keeps very close tabs on new information about it. He was my OB/GYN and treated me for infertility, as well as just delivered my daughter.

He is so kind hearted and gentle - an incredible doctor and a sweet man.

You would love him. So if you ever need a change, call him. He is great.
