I am looking for a new OB/GYN - I've become a bit frustrated with my own, especially after last week. My insulin levels were a bit high, so they tried to prescribe me Glucophage. Not a problem, but I've been on 2000 mg for nearly 2 years, and this information is on my chart, for sure. He (or maybe his nurse!?) also informed me that my tests pointed to me having PCOS and possibly IR. Of course, I'd also been diagnosed with both for over 10 years. The most frustrating part was having to wait in the exam room for nearly 2 hours after finding out I was miscarrying, before anyone came to check on me. Of course, he also wants to refer me to a fertility doctor in the area, Dr. Gregory Starks, and though I've heard all sorts of good things about him, our insurance just doesn't cover him. I go in for my next appointment with my Endocrinologist on Thursday, and plan to talk with him about it, but I thought I would also ask around here. I've never really liked going to doctors much because of several mis-diagnoses when I was younger, on top of problems with prescriptions. I just need help finding someone who understands PCOS and all the other problems that go with it. It's also a bonus if they practice at the hospital I prefer going to
