Looking for a PCOS friendly GP in the Vancouver area
who is accepting new patients.
I don't mind if there's a waiting list to get in to see him or her, as I won't be back in Vancouver until the beginning of July, then I have to wait 90 days for my MSP coverage to start (I've been out of Canada for 2 years).
I am willing to travel as far as Langley, but would prefer to find someone in North Delta (64th & Scott Road) or along the Expo Line (original SkyTrain route) or the Broadway Corridor or the UBC area (will be working out UBC way)... if this person has weekend appointments, that would be great too.
Looking forward to returning to Vancouver and thanks in advance for any and all leads you can give me!
Sorry no one has gotten back to you yet, I myself haven't been in the canadian threads for awhile.
I am going threw the same thing, I am looking for a doctor in White Rock or Langley and have not found one yet. I have only had help from one person on soul cysters and like I said nothing yet. I did find a website that you can look at findadoctorcanada.com you can find one in your area or the surrounding areas. I have wrote some down and will be starting to interview them as soon as I get time, I do have some that are around 64th and 69th but not scott road, they are around 152nd. I hope you can find someone on that website that knows about PCOS. I hope I can find someone too. LOL.
if you can get in to see Dr. Frame at the Old orchard Medical clinic... he is good.
BUT he might not be accepting new patients.
With him you have to book appts 2 weeks ahead....

I see Dr. Shadmani (female) at Able Care Medical Clinic in Coquitlam. I'm not sure if she knows too much, but she is very open and is willing to write out referrals and px and such. PM if you want any info.

I live in Newton too and I have PCOS, and I am dealing with immigration....ok, well, there are a few differences...I'm married to a woman, and she is the one from out of Canada, however...I am always looking to chat with people who have similar road blocks. I have been on WW for a year and lost 15 lbs, in total!, I exercise by walkin my dog twice a day (short one in the am) but try to get one long walk every evening, if you ever feel like joining me on a stroll, would be cool.
Hey...wow 15lbs congrats on that..where abouts are u?
