looking for a PCOS friends OB/GYN in Denver, CO

I may be moving to the Denver area and am looking for a PCOS friendly OB/GYN. I am currently 13 weeks pregnant. If anyone has a recommendation; it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks Heather! Your little one is a cutie! I am due January '07; so I have some time. We are hoping to move out there early fall timeframe. All depends on the sales of our "homes" - we have a home my DH had before we got married and we are going to sell it vs. continuing to rent it out.

And go to 'meet our physicians' you will find him. He comes highly recommend from a pcos friend.

I made an appt for August 8th! Yeek!

Just wanted to let you know about the doctor my sister went to...

Dr.Heavrin

he can be found at the same littleton hospital site. he specializes in PCOS. My sister got pregnat after he started her on the South Beach Diet.

I live in Colorado Springs, but an considering the drive up there to meet with him! ( just had a very negative visit with a fertility doc here in the springs)

Thank you Tracy! I appreciate the tip! I also live in Colorado Springs. I see Dr. Davis-Best right now. She is really good. She was the one to diagnose me with PCOS. I was able to get pregnant fairly quickly after my diagnosis.
One of my girlfriends had a good experience with her Fertility Doc; would you like her Doc's name? I know there is one here in town that many women have complained about. I don't remember their names.

Thank you Jenmaree! That would be so great if you could give me some names! The doctor we went to that we DIDN'T like was "Dr.Silverstien". Very arrogant and unsympathetic! He actually told me eat an apple for a meal!!! Anyway, if you could ask your friend what her doc's name was/is I would be so thankful! Where is your Dr. Davis-Best located at? Hi Tracy, well, unfortunately Silverstein was the one my friend loved! She said she had a good experience with Silverstein. The one she didn't like was Maggarelli (sp?). Apparentely Maggarelli would pressure her into things she wasn't comfortable with. Bummer! I was hoping I could help you out.
My doctor is located in the Southwest part of town off of Tenderfoot Hill and Circle. It's behind the Bennigans on the hill. She is a part of Colorado Springs Health Partners. She is actually having her baby this Monday, so she will be out for 6 weeks.

Thanks for the info! That is ggod to know about the other doctor. I just felt that this dr.Silverstien was judgemental and knew nothing about pcos and nutrition. Thanks for getting back to me though!

I've got an amazing OB GYN and Fertility Dr in Denver, if you are still looking for someone!

OB GYN - Dr Cristee Offerdahl @ Midtown OBGYN
Fertility Dr - Dr Debra Minjarez @ CCRM

Both of these Dr's have PCOS themselves!

What part of town do you live? We are thinking of Southern Denver (Littleton, Centennial area).

I live in Littleton, CO. I haven't been diagnosed yet, but I have an appointment with my Family doctor tomorrow. If she is good, or if whoever she refers me is good with pcos, I'll keep you posted on that. I went to see Dr. Dorr on tuesday. I was completely blown away. I have spent over 200k on doctors in the last 6 years since my accident and I have NEVER been treated so kindly and with such respect as I was w/ Dr. Dorr.

He is well versed in PCOS. He is just amazing. I cannot say enough good things.
