I had a crappy experience on the first visit with my current RE. I went to him because of things he was quoted as saying... and he didn't live up to his hype.
My husband says he'd never go back at all, but I have my follow up in two weeks, my regular MD wants me to at least go to that... she says maybe he was having a bad day.
I'm eager to get my treatment - whatever that may be - under way. I don't want to wait any longer, and I'm concerned it may take a long time to get an appointment with a new doctor. I'm also concerned that I'll go to a new doc and be just as dissatisfied - or more so.
Does anyone in NYC have a good RE or even a regular endo? I live in Manhattan, so I need a doc right in Manhattan.
Motoko posted this in the "recommend a doctor" forum:
"Dr. Thys-Jacobs is an endocrinologist specializing in PCOS, and does research into the underlying causes of the condition, very interesting, promising stuff. Personally, I think she's a genius?I'm off meds and have had a regular cycle for 6 months, and she's only been treating me for a year and few months. She's at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital. 212.506.0246"
