Default Looking for an RE in Virginia -

I currently seeing my gyn Dr., but he is not very helpful with explaining or treating my PCOS. I was diagnosed in April of 2009 and all I was told was I have Pcos and the symptom such as (unwanted hair, loss of hair, infertility etc) were caused by the condition. I researched it and got all of my information and knowledge off the internet.

So i am looking for a Reproductive Endocrinologists that could not only help me with my infertility but also tackle the problem PCOS.

Anywhere in the 6 cities in VA is good- Virginia beach, norfolk, chespeake, portsmouth, hampton,

Thanks

I've tried a few REs in Virginia, but I would never recommend them. Plus I live up in Fredericksburg so I can't really help. But if you find a good one near Richmond let me know! lol! A good doctor is so hard to find in Virginia.

I have found that out the hard way. I live in SW Va and I still haven't found a Dr. that will actually listen to me about my PCOS. I am currently looking for one now too.

Dr. Alan Dalkin at UVA in Charlottesville. I traveled to UVA for medical reasons from Fredburg and from Va Beach and Norfolk all of my life (and my mother was in clinical trials for her cancer treatments there too). But warning - I met a witch of a doc (female endo) before finding awesome Dr. Dalkin .

I also finally found an awesome doctor, he is in Richmond at VCU. It seems the college doctors are the best, because they are interested in teaching and thinking outside the box and helping you, not money. My doctor doesn't even charge me for the ultrasounds!!! He was like "yeah the college paid for the machine so there is no reason to charge you $300 every time you come in" I love having a doctor that isn't just trying to get money out of me. He even prescribed me Femara. It's great!

yeah, the Dr. Dalkin at UVA is of course college related - I get lab results and emails even weekly for no extra cost (such as exam fee). wish labs were free though...
