Waiting for O to come & feeling a little uncertain about meds, etc ....if they are going to work??? -glumetza(going on 3 months 1000mg) & letrozole(1st month 5mg)-
Anyone have any BFP success stories from being on this combo or something similar? How many months did it take? mg of meds? Did you do anything different the month of BFP?
Hi Izzy! I think we had chatted a couple weeks back. How have you been? Sorry I cannot answer your question....I am in the same boat! So far I have been on Glumetza since Sept 12. The first month I ovulated on CD23 and started spotting on 8DPO. This month, I ovulated on CD19...I am now on 4DPO. I have another RE appointment on Dec. 12. He is then going to start me on Femara, etc.
I have had a hard time staying positive. I was hoping I would be one of those girls who gets pregnant when just starting Glumetza.....
How has Glumetza affected your cycles, etc?
So glad to hear from you!

Hi there!
Surgery went great & I even O'd that same cycle (cd19 with an 8 day luteal though-boo...). I don't think Glumetza has made any changes in my cycles. Since my surgery though, my last period was a full 7 days which I have had...never! LOL! so that was a major change. Right now, I'm cd16 (think I o'd yesterday but need to confirm it with temps) I am really hoping this is my cycle for a +, but I am nervous that nothing is ever going to work. You'd think I'd be so hopeful & excited (which in many ways I am) but I am super nervous & somewhat doubtful too. I have yet to ever see a + pg. test, I dont even know what I'd do if I saw one (probably run around the house screaming & jumping for joy). Not feeling the most positive right now, so I needed a perk-up. So, how are you? December appt....it'll be here b/f you know it!

Hi,
I am 4dpo and have low back pain since O. A little confused because at 1dpo I had pain so horrible on my ovaries, cramps (just like period), pain in my back, etc. What was that about???? Anyways, I am on Endometrin right now to get my progest. pumping. I know on those fert. drugs, I always get low back pain, so I am not thinking anything other than that reasoning for the symptom. Everything else is good--a little moody LOL! but I think that is stress talking b/c I have been working myself to death in order to forget about all this 2WW:-) How are you doing? What dpo are you now? Any symptoms?
I was not on Femara this month, but I too experienced back pain on 5DPO and 6DPO. I am now 8DPO. I know I am out, though, because I always have cramping for the entire TWW. The only time I didn't was when I was pregnant. I am still holding onto a small glimmer of hope. I started spotting at 8DPO last month, (and today is 8DPO) and nothing yet. . If I don't have spotting by Tuesday, I am taking a test.
Keep me posted!
By the way, are you on a glycemic index diet?

i am sort of on the low sugar diet (been really bad lately!) but i am trying to start it back 100%. i am so ready to test even though i am doubtful--what a pain! all this waiting, ugh... dont lose hope just b/c of cramps, you never know:-)
It is important to remember that everyone is different. So just because some people do not have any success with meds doesn't mean it won't happen for you.
Personally I totally support the low sugar diet and have not taken any meds so far!!! I only found out about PCOS a month or two ago, and on that day I bought an e-book called The Natural Solution for PCOS and Infertility. I've been sticking to food and recipes from that book as much as I could for over a month now. I know it's hard giving up sugar. The way I dealt with this was by buying sugar free chocolates and things with very low sugar levels. Supermarkets here (NZ) thankfully have organic, gluten free and sugar free options so it's not hard finding substitute foods.
Anyway, my partner and I weren't even trying for a baby yet (we were planning to do so next year) but I got a BFP on Sat!! I know I had ovulated last month as my CM was exatly as they describe ovulation. We've used the "withdrawal" system (as we have for years of being together... but this time it didn't work that well. :o)
Hopefully I'll carry to term. I'll keep going with my diet as it seems to be doing wonders. ;O)
