Default Looking for treatments without being Diagnosed.

I had all my blood work done. They say all my tests came out regular. What's going on with me then if I don't have PCOS? I still want to get another opinion (from a doctor that KNOWS what they're doing!) I hate coming out of the dr.'s office with no answers! I want to stop the hair growth, I want to stop losing the hair out of my head. I want regular periods and clear skin without using the pill! I know we all do, but with out being diagnosed, how can I treat this stuff?

I can never seem to find any answers..

I brought up PCOS to 2 family Drs over the past 5 years, both tested me and said I didn't have it, eventually I accepted their diagnosis.
Recently I was seeing a specialist for thyroid problems and while doing countless blood tests and scans, the speacialist said "Oh by the way, you also have a condition called PCOS". Even after that my cysts filled ultrasound came back and the reading Dr of the US said "There are cysts but they do not indicate PCOS".
Luckily this Dr is the first one I have ever met who seems to listen to me so she was puzzled but not swayed.
I say, trust your gut, you may not be able to find a Dr who will treat you with the meds for PCOS but you may find it worthwhile to try out some alternative therapies that are out there.
I have been discovering (much to my dismay) that for all the schooling they get, a lot of Drs don't seem to know very much.

Get copies of your test results and don't be afraid to do your own research.

I had to switch doctors and when I met the new one I had a stack of information I'd printed off the interent from the Mayo Clinic website and sources that I thought were reliable.

You will eventually be heard if you have enough evidence to support your cause and you can find a doctor who will listen.

Ditto. Look for another doc. There are lots of docs out there who know zip about PCOS. They don't know there is NO test for PCOS.
