 Looks Like Its Ovcon now...
Alright...so I called my gyno and requested a substitute for the Ortho Lo since all the research about monophasic pills for cysters. He promptly called in a script for Ovcon 35. Heres my dilemma...
I'm a regular AF cyster. Pretty much always have been with the one exception of my previous experience with regular Ortho Tri Cyclen (breakthrough bleeding and nausea). When I came off them was when the really severe pcos symptoms started hitting...i.e. increased hair growth/loss, worsened acne. Fast forward to today...I'm two months away from heading for Jamaica on vacation where I am determined NOT to take AF along for the trip. My periods are like clockwork right now.....should I risk starting the new pills before the trip or waiting til after? Will the potential benefits outweigh the sucky side effects short term? I mean, I'd really like it if I didn't have to wax/shave quite so much, but I'm doubting I'd see much change in the short time I'd be on the pills, right? I really do feel like my pcos is getting worse and worse each day. My hair has thinned SO badly and I've gained weight SINCE having the babies, not during. How sad is that?
I'm nuts...any thoughts on this?
