Talking It looks like we did it!!

Hey Fellas!

So after months of mystery, a final diagnosis of PCOS, Met, and a mc in September, it looks like we're going to have a baby! DW took a HPT this morning and it came out positive!

I'm still a bit of a Doubting Thomas though. After the mc in Sept., I guess it's just natural to be a little apprehensive. I just want be sure everything will go well and I hesitate to share our news in fear that I'll have to take it back again. I joked with DW this morning about the phone call to my parents--"Hi Mom? I've got news. We're pregnant!" "That's so wonderful, how far along is she?" "9 months. She's due next week!"

Any of you guys out there have this same feeling? How did you deal? I'm exhilirated and terrified at the same time. I guess that's to be expected for any "normal" FTB, but the added variable of a past mc has got me jumpy. Thoughts?

Best,

DH2rosenleaf

I don't have much advise on the 'relaxing' end of things because DH & I never did either! LOL

But, I did want to say CONGRATULATIONS to you Daddy!

DH2rosenleaf,

Congrats!!!

And relax!! Yeah right!!! I know better than that.

DW and I have had our downs. And I'd rather not comprimise my good mood thinking about them.

We are due in mid-April and the stress is still there. Just take it one day at a time, next thing you'll know, you'll have more days behind you, then you have to wait!

That really cracked me up about calling the folks in 9 months informing them that you two are pregnant!

Default Thanks again!

Thanks again for all your encouragement and support. Things have been going pretty well, but we've both been having some seriously vivid dreams. I think the DW was fighting terrorists or something last night.

Anyhoo, we had our first US last week to make sure everything was doing well and we saw it's fluttering little heartbeat. Man, that was COOL!!! We got the clean bill o'health we were hoping for and now we'll start letting everybody in on the secret.

The doctor we saw is great. He speaks English well, but has some funny pronunciation and vocab issues. "Here you can see the embryon, it looks like a little worm (pronounced voorm), the gestational sack, and here is the entire womb (pronounced voomp). Great stuff!!
