loosing hope,sad morning!!

just wanted to update everyone! I just walked in from the dr. and I am so upset. The dr. did another ultrasound and they have not grown anymore. There are a lot of small follicles and the biggest one is still only 10mm. and I am on cd 16. They have not grown at all since cd12.
On top of it the dr. I saw I never saw before. My dr. was not on call this weekend and he was real mean an was so ungentle with the ultrasound probe and it was quite painfull.
I got another prescription today for clomid. Now I am on 100mg. for 5 days verses 50mg. I am on cd 3 and I go in on cd 13 for another ultrasound. I will not get my period as I am startig today,they are acting as though I am on cd3. So there is some good news!!!
I am so let down by this. The dr. said after this if this does not work that they will try 150mg. and if that doesnot work then who knows. They only go up to 150mg. I wonder what comes next. If they cannot get me to O then how will they do a iui of ivf???
It is so hard to not loose hope. I am going back to bed as I can at least dream that I am pregnant or have a little one as dreaming is as close as I can get right now.......

Don't lose hope. I am on my second round of clomid, i started it yesterday. 100mg an increase from the first round. It is hard not to be dissapointed. I got my period earlier in the week and i usually don't get it without taking something to force one. I was glad i got it on my own, but upset i wasn't pregnant. I had to remind myself that the dr. said it may take a few rounds. I have to remind myself of that. I noticed you are from Ohio. me too, my dr. is awesome his name is Dr. scheiber in cincinnati. I have 2 friends from work who have gone to see him and one is pregnant with triplets. Good luck with the clomid i hope it works this time.Are you on Metormin too?

I received similar disappointment yesterday when I went in for an u/s. I was on 150 mg of clomid and my biggest folicle was 7 mm. He upped my dosage to 200 mg of Clomid and also prescribed dexamethasone. He said that we would have to look into injectible drugs if this cycle didn't work.

I know how frustrating it can be but do not lose hope...with ovulation induction everyone is unique and we will all respond differently to the medications. Your doctor needs to try different dosages and protocols on you before getting the right combo for your to ovulate and get pg.

It is difficult to have patience about something that the heart wants but the less stress you have the more successful you will be.

I hope your time comes soon...

I am going in next week for an us, but the first one i had he didn't tell me the size of the follicle he just said he could see it and recommened timed intercourse. Any suggestions on what questions i need to be asking? does size matter?
