Loosing my Eyebrows and Eyelashes 1st?

I've always had thinning fine hair. I've noticed that it's still thinning out but it's not too bad right now. I've already prepared myself for the inevitible; my mom has really thin hair and my grandmother wore a wig for as long as I can remember.

Recently I have noticed that my hair is falling out. Ironically, not so bad on the top of my head but I have lost a lot from my arms and south of the border. I can live with that. The one that concerns me the most is the fact that my eyebrows and lashes are going through a period of thinning out.

I've never really had a lot of eyebrows, never had to pluck them before. I almost thought it was my imagination until DH said something to the affect that I plucked too many of them. I looked at him and said that I have never plucked any of them. This just confirmed to me it wasn't my imagination.

Have you had your thyroid checked lately?

I was just going too ask if you had your thyrpid checked.. NOT just TSH either, I would ask for the WHOLE SHABANG including Thyroid Antibodies!!! I JUST had this done, and even though all my levels were NORMAL, My Thyroid Anitbodies were Elevated. I am now on starting dose of Synthroid.

I would DEFINATELY go ask for this test hun!

I'll have to see what is on my list of tests to have done this month. If it's not on there I will ask my Dr. I see her in March. I didn't think it would be my thyroid cuz that always comes back normal.

Mine too ALWAYS came back normal, but I found out they were ONLY testing TSH, not T3 or T4 or thyroid antibody. From what I understand you need too see the WHOLE picture on this.. Good luck dear
