Red face Losing more hair on my head than usual

How do you know when it's considered to be actual hair loss?

I pick out my hair and have always had a small amount fall out in my pick. But the last few days it's been alot more than a little! I am freaked out! My hair is thick, but if it keeps clumping out like this, it won't be thick for long! Any ideas?

One of the hairdressing cysters on here said it was 80-100 hairs a day that you could lose and still be in the normal range. I started losing a lot of hair a few months ago too, but my doc said it was due to sudden weight loss and so far he seems to be right because it is easing up. Hope this helps
