Default Lost? Question concerning pregnancy after MC

Hey ladies....I have not been on since my last miscarriage almost 8 weeks ago. To catch you up, I had a miscarriage 6-12 the day after seeing our babies heartbeat...then exactly 2 months later on 8-12 i had yet another miscarriage. So, I come to you all asking IS THIS POSSIBLE?

I have not YET had a period since my last miscarriage almost 8 weeks ago and I am feeling allll kinds of pregnancy symptoms...horribly sensitive nipples, slight cramping, constant headaches.....

is it possible to get pregnant even though i have not yet had a period? I did have a little redish tint after intercourse last week....but i thought it was signs of a period...then, nothing!

Now, I'm too scared to take a test to just be disappointed. My DH leaves on Thursday for his 3rd tour of Iraq so I dont need anymore tears added right now...

HELP if anyone knows this answer. I know that I can easily google...but I dont trust that stuff as much as I trust you ladies and real life experience.

I'm so sorry for your losses. Did your Dr. check to see if your HCG went down to 0 following August's m/c? If you know that it got down to 0, and you get a positive pregnancy test this week, that means the HCG is registering from a new pregnancy. I assume that anything's possible - you certainly could have ovulated in the meantime and caught the egg. But its also not uncommon for a body to be wonky following m/c and AF to be mysteriously missing. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I've no answers....but the pp is right..if you know it was down to 0, then if you tested + it'd be a new pregnancy. Best wishes....please KUP.

God Bless your dh to be in the service and serve the US!!!

I am so sorry for your losses. To answer your question yes it is possible to get pregnant after a M/C without gettting your period first. I had my second missed M/C in June of 03 and had to have a D & C. About 7 weeks later I felt like I was pregnant so I started taking my temps for a few days and realized they were up so I assumed I had ovulated. A week later I took a test and to my surprise it was positive. 9 months later I delivered a healthy baby girl. I wish you the best of luck.

Leza- Yes it is possible. If you bled from your second m/c and then stopped, that is the beginning of a new cycle. Vern is also right and I agree with that. Glad to se you again. I think that the only way you are going to know is to test and then if it is possitive go for a beta and u/s.

Glad to hear from you, I've been wondering about you.

As for your question, I agree with the PP's. You could have Ov'ed. Sorry for the limbo, and I'm sure the fear/worry. But I think you should test, or go ahead and see your doctor. Sending hugs your way sweetie.

Yes it is totally possible to get pregnant again right away and I am talking from experience. I got pregnant in June and m/c in July at 5 weeks. Little did I know 2 weeks later got pregnant again with no period in between. UNfortunately I lost the baby at 9 and a half weeks and had a D&C almost 2 weeks ago. I am terrified to get pregnant again. I hope the best for you if you are. Take a test, if you are pregnant it would be the best gift!

Thanks ladies. I am going to the doctor next week for a pap so ill request a BETA at that time. Today I still have breast pain, a few "twitches" in my abdomen....but nothing like the last two pregnancies. My BETA was at 1 the last time i had it checked so i know its not from the last m/c. i bled for about a week after that one....so im hoping i did ovulate sometime in between. i also remember having cramping during ovulation so im going to take advantage of the endless opportunities that we have over the 3 days before he leaves....and hoping to create a miracle. I'll let you all know what happens at the doctor.

Im totally freaked out that I could be and I didnt wait for my period...but sometimes you just get impatient....lol.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions. I'm going to remain as patient as possible....i really have no choice. If it doesnt happen in the next 3 days or there isnt a little surprise in there now...I am forced to wait 7 months before hubby is home on his midterm leave.....pray for a miracle baby for me!!

Thank you again ladies.

I echo what the other girls say, you are most fertile 3 months after a m/c and can certainly get preg before a period.. Good luck!!!!

Hey ladies. So thank you for all of your advice and thoughts. My dh left last night for his next tour of Iraq and I found out two days ago that I am having another miscarriage. The day after I reposted on here I started bleeding and thought it was my period...there was then some tissue...BETA came out to be 7 which means im having a THIRD miscarriage...the worst part. It started on October 14th...so now, I've had 3 miscarriages all 8 weeks apart from one another. My doctor says I'm too young to be doing tests that I am in good health, good shape it is simply mother nature disposing of "imperfect" quality eggs. Dont think so....im getting a second opinion.

Thank you ladies again. My goodbye last night was the worst of them all...my poor dh hated leaving me like this and knowing i was losing another one of our babies but like so many times bfeore I can get through this again.

Leza: I'm so sorry hun. Your doctor should be doing testing, young or not. I hope the second opinion takes this more seriously. (*hugs*)
