Default lots of ewcm

I stopped bc 2 months ago--of course the first month after stopping I got pd no problem--now for the second month I'm still waiting--today is day 34. I thought if I was going to get it it should be anyday. I started taking 1000mg vitex and 1000 dong quai 3 days ago. Yesterday and today I have noticed a lot of ewcm??? Is this from the herbs?? Has anyone else experienced this?? Any help would be much appreciated.

I went of BCP in March. The first month is was right on time (or there about at 30 days). After that it got longer each month...now I've regulated to about a 40 day cycle. A bit long, but I can work with it (especially since I know I'm Oing by temping). I also just started Vitex about two weeks ago...but I haven't had lots of ewcm. Maybe that's how it's affecting you...or maybe you're actually Oing now (I O around day 30). Do you temp?

Mako,
temping works, because it shows the temperature rise after ovulation, and higher temperatures in the second phase that are due to progesterone. If a person ovulates, they secrete progesterone, and it is the same for everybody, PCOS or not.

Default Temping

Mako,

I would suggest that you start temping. All you'll need is a bbt thermometer (that you can buy in a drug store). Make sure you get a bbt therm. as they're more precise than regular. You should temp at the same time everyday and after at least three hours of uninterupted sleep. (I temp at 5:30 every day...earlier than I ever get up, long enough after I ever go to bed...only tough part is waiting to pee as I always have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night/morn). You can use a free, online charting program (I use www.fertilityfriend.com), and, voila, you're charting.

Some gals find temping frustrating once they've been doing it for a while as they're trying to conceive, but others (myself included) find it empowering. (We're not actively ttc right now, rather I'm using temping to figure out what is up with my body...ie, I do O around cd30 and my lp is from 9-12 days).

Good luck!

Mako,
I am similar to scbegonias in that the first month off BCP I had a 35 day cycle. I assumed I ovulated too (because of CM) even though I was not temping at the time. Then my cycles rapidly lengthened and it took nine months of really long cycles before I got my cycles consistently down to 32-36 days complete with ovulation. This is all using natural treatments such as excersise, cutting out as many sweet things as possible, suplements and carob.
So don't worry. Its a case of finding the solution that suits you which may take some time but you'll get there in the end.
