Question Loud Gurggling Noices

Has anyone experienced this...

I seem to get a gurggling sound around the ovaries and uterus... Almost like a gurggling stomach but lower... I'm not really sure how to describe the sound it makes, it does range though... It gets really loud that other people hear it, I know where it's coming from so I them them it's my tummy, even though it's not, just to hold off gross looks from them...

It can happen ay time in my cycle... I think though I notice it more after I ovulate and get worse before AF is to show... I am still trying to record this, so I'm not to specific on the time frame yet... I know I heard the sounds before during AF and always thought that it was just AF and shedding the lining... Now it seems to happen more often... It is different when I am not on AF...

So I don't know what it is and was wondering if anyone else has had/have this... Is this normal???

Well, it's just a guess, but if you look at a picture of the anatomy of a human's "guts" our large intestine (or colon) runs right by that area; especially on the left-hand side and behind the uterus. I have IBS and I'm quite familiar with how PMS' and AF's hormones can increase prostaglandins, which can increase gut rumbling/cramping and also uterine cramping. One can also have a bit of gas trapped in there, which makes you sound rumbly, but you don't feel "windy" (if you catch my drift! ). You may want to try popping a pill for gas, such as Phazyme, to see if that helps next time it happens. Then you'll have your answer!

BUT! I do sometimes get strange "air bubbles" just before AF. Sort of like a misplaced fart It never gurgles audibly though. I just notice it sometimes when I sit down or stand up. It's definitely odd! Not to mention embarrassing!

I hope you find an answer!
Dana

My abdomen had been stone quite ever since I changed my diet. I steam all of my food (no cooking with oil), I eat 8 oz of fish or take 3 teaspons of fish oil every day, I eat 6 to 8 cups of veggies, no processed food (except some non dairy creamer in my coffee.)

I was just commenting to my mom how my whole mid region has been so 'calm' and quite for weeks not. Not a gurgle, a rumble, or anything...

Thanks guys...

I think I'll have to keep watch on it and try and narrow it down a bit better... I'm not under stress, other than some of the frustrations of TTC... This just seem to have started a few cycles ago... Maybe I'll mention it to my doctor the next time I go, she may have some answers or suggestions...
