I am begining to think I don't have PCOS because nobody seems to have the same symptoms as me. I mean I have read different posts and replied to them but no reply back?? Does anybody have low blood pressure that has PCOS?? Every time I go to the doctor it gets lower and lower this last time it was 100/62 now to me that seems low but the docs didn't seem to think so. But in July of 03 it was 117/72 and that is the norm for me, but still the docs didn't seem worried. Any insight out there??? I am 24, 5 ft 3 1/2 in and I am 160 lbs hoping to get down to 130!!!!
I have never heard of Low Blood pressure being assoicated with PCOS...but then again this snydrome has some many aspects that it could be...never know!!!
Welcome to Soulcysters

A woman with pcos can have lower blood pressure. Low blood pressure is common in athletes AND petite poeple (i'm not sure why my mom read it in a fitness magazine and told me). I have all the classic pcos symptoms and a pretty severe case...high ovarian and adrenal androgens resulting in severe facial and body hair since I was 13. When I was 12 I gained a lot of weight (50-70 or so lbs) in a year and 2 years ago I weighed 255 lbs (i'm 5'7'') and I am insulin resistant and have the cholesterol problems comon to pcos. My blood pressure was actually always fairly healthy and in a year I lost more than 100 lbs (and still have IR )since then it has been low (I exercise frequently and do intense workouts)and I almost black out frequently if I stand up too fast. High blood pressure is more common in women with pcos (especially if they are overweight), but they can also have blood pressure that is low or within the healthy range. I'm proof that a woman can have pcos and low blood pressure. You are not the only one!
My blood pressure is low too, usually around 100/65. That's a good thing! If your blood pressure is too low you will pass out. Other than that it's fine and much better than high blood pressure. There are very few cysters that have *ALL* the symptoms of PCOS, many just have a few. High blood pressure is definately not a required symptom!

My blood pressure runs 90something/60something usually. It's always been in that range, except at the end of my pregnancy. No one has ever told me that was *low* just normal. I am petite (5'2" 115lbs) and very active.

i don't have a dx of pcos, yet, but i wanted to comment here....
I have low bp's very low actually, like 80/45 or 50 low.... often when i have been in the hospital, it has dropped so low that a nurse will come and sit with me while they do bp's every 5 minutes til it goes back up.
normally, my dr is not concerned with this, at all.
Now, i am not what anyone would call petite... i am 5 ft 3 and 260 lbs.
i never considered it could be a symptom of anything else....
Yup, I have low to normal blood pressure too. Thank heavens I take after my Dad in that respect. He's always had low-normal blood pressure while my Mum, Grandma, and Great-Grandma all had very high blood pressure and all the worries and complications associated with that. Unfortunately, I also seem to get my insulin issues from Dad as well, he's an insulin-dependent diabetic. Due to the diabetes, he has also recently developed a problem that is associated with neuropathy. It's called ortho-static hypotension. His blood pressure can bottom out at any time, while he's doing anything. The body has had such damage to the nerves, etc. that his body can have a hard time regulating his blood pressure. But the damage is only from years of hard to manage diabetes, not his low blood pressure. He's been diabetic for over 20 years and is now considered a brittle diabetic.
