Thumbs up Low Carb Alternative to Breadcrumbs

OATBRAN!!!

I just tried crumbing some chicken with oatbran and it worked BRILLIANTLY. The kids - who are very difficult to please, especially if it's healthy - thought it was great and wanted more. Kieran even said it tasted like KFC. I'm not too sure about that, but it was pretty good.

I pan-fried it. I'm looking forward to getting my oven fixed so I can try a crumb crust on top of something.

You can grind whole (raw) almons in a good food processor or even a coffee grinder...but I pay a little extra to get mine in bulk from Bobsredmill.com because I am all about convenience. Almond meal is definitely a good staple to have around.

Oat and crude (unprocessed) wheat bran can be purchased in most grocery stores in the cereal aisle.
