Agreed!

Someone posted this over on the Food Reviews forum, here is the link to the story....http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,108373,00.html

They're supposed to have 6g net carbs, 10g protein, and 3g fiber and will be released nationwide in May.

Bring it on! It's about time.

That article said they are making them low carb by using soy proteins and fiber as substitute ingredients.

I may try them but the fact that they're made of soy turns me off. I just don't like the taste. I do worry, also, about the increasing popularity of using soy to substitute other ingredients.

My DH told me about this tonight! I absolutely cannot wait...I hope that we get them here in Ontario quickly! I haven't tried the new subway wraps (atkins wraps)...any reviews on those?

I had a wrap on Sunday. I thought I was good. Definately a nice alternative!

Can't wait for the chips.

For those beer lovers out there...Molsons and Labatts both have a low carb beer out (sorry, they may only be available in Canada). Supposed to be 6 or 8g.

I tried the wrap also, the bacon turkey one and it was good. I love how the world around me is in complete support of low carb all of a sudden lol. where were they all a few years ago?? i drove past 2 7-11's on the way home and they had big signs saying Join The Low Carb Revolution!! WOW... dr atkins would be so proud...

I hope they come to Canada quickly too. I'll happily eat them, occasionally, of course.

I'm not really a beer drinker, but the low carb Labatts stuff may be worth a try. It beats drinking a Coke.

Praise the Lord!!!!!!!!!!

I am a Mexican food junkie - this will give me the "crunch" I miss so much.

I sure hope they taste good.

Does anybody know if the low carb Doritos will be made with msg? I hope not. I haven't been able to have them in sooooo long because of msg causing migraines. I miss Chinese food as well. All the good Chinese food restaurants in my area use msg .

Boy, that turned into a msg rant. Sorry about that.

Lays also makes Organic ones, that seem to be a little lower in carbs then the originals.

DH and I have found that we like the Organic Cheetos--they are made with corn and white cheddar cheese--really yummy and this is coming from somebody who doesn't really like Cheetos.

We've also tried the blue corn tortillas, which are really good with salsa and the white corn ones--also very good, but you can really taste the corn. Also very good are their rippled potato chips, made with sea salt--quite yummy once you get used to them.

I'm not sure of the carb content on any of this organic stuff, but I do know that there is less fat because dh has to watch his fat intake, very closely, and his a munchy fan!!!

Not sure this is helping everyone, but thought I'd let you know.

Beth
