What's your favorite LC tortilla ? I'm looking for something similar to the ones they make the subway wraps with.... I like the taste and the texture. So far- the only low carb tortilla I've tried has been "okay" but not great--- a bit on the dry side and sort of had a funny taste. Anyone have any recommendations ? TIA
(the brand I've tried is Tumaro's)

I don't know how low-carb these are, but you could try wholewheat tortillas. If you can find them that is. I can't think of where you would. But they must be better for you than regular tortillas.
This might not be that useful since I'm not going strictly low carb at the moment. Instead, I try to eat 'good' carbs--wholewheat and wholegrain bread, pasta, rice. I actually really prefer wholewheat breads now so much more than white. So much more flavour. You might find that you prefer the wholewheat tortillas (if you can get them) more than white ones or corn tortillas.
Originally posted by Zacia I use Mission Brand whole wheat low carb tortillas. I love soft tortillas and so far these are the only ones I have found with the 'perfect' texture.

I use Mission whole-wheat fat-free tortillas. This is the only whole wheat tortilla I've found that tastes good, so far.
Now if I can just learn how to make whole grain (or SBD-friendly)fry bread for my Indian tacos!

Hi Celtra,
I found them at a Super WalMart.
I also found a product called Carb Down FlatOut flat bread. I haven't tried it yet. I'm going to look for some recipes first. Maybe I can use it as a substitute for the fry bread. Hmm..
