One optionmight be Bio-identical estrogen - (estradiol - assuming that is the type you are low on) It is available by doctor's prescription but it is supposed to be exactly identical to the human estrogen that human ovaries produce - or are supposed to produce - so in my book it "counts" as "natural" - although the delivery system is probably not as ideal as if your had made it. -- For safety sake if your were to go that route, you would also likely need to take either a progesterone or progenstin - progesterone is probably the more natural option - again you can get various progesterone products that are supposed to be be idential to human progesterone -sometimes progestin (synthetic progesterone-like substance that is used in BCP has some advantages - but it is proably not as "natural".

Dr Vliet's books are proably a good source of information on that.

Here is a theory that you might find interesting: http://www.pcoscommunity.com/showthread.php?t=12296

Herbal remedies for Low Estrogen (Phyto-Estrogen) are: Black Cohosh, Chasteberry, Motherwort, Licorice (also good for adrenal fatigue and if you have low blood pressure), Maca and pomegranate (pomegranate is not so good if you have low blood pressure, but good for those with High blood pressue.)

I do not recommend Soy Isoflavones.

I've tried some of these, as I too have low estradiol/estriol...
But I am on the Bio-Identical hormone bandwagon at present. The Herbal stuff is actually less natural than the Bio-Identical estriol...
Since it is plant estrogens rather than human estrogens like Estriol.

Plant estrogens do not perfectly fit into the "lock" of our human estrogen receptors. If you are already low, taking plant estrogens might block your estrogen receptors (lock) with a weak and not perfect (key), thereby preventing what little estrogen your body does make (the right key) from getting into one of those receptor (locks).

But I think it is how your liver converts it and some people's livers don't actually convert phyto-estrogens very well, while others may have good results with taking herbal phyto-estrogens.

I didn't really give them a long test run. Normally I like to do everything 'naturally'. But when it came to my estrogen I wanted something STRONG... So I am currently looking into Bio-Identical now. It seems like it might work because it is natural and strong.
