Default low level of TSH in blood

Hi all,

I have PCOS for the past three years, I am on medication, doing a lot of exercise and diet which has ofcourse helped my PCOS. Recently I got my routine blood work done, insulin and everything related to PCOS were just fine. But now there is a new problem, TSH level is very low ..<.01

Have you had similar experience, if yes, please share your story, I feel very depressed, I need your support...I was planning to have a baby, and now there is this new problem

I have not had this but there are some out there that do. Look up hyperthyroidism or graves disease.

That didn't spark a concern from your doctor?? I've read that the minimum range begins around .35. Are you on any thyroid meds now that may have reduced the TSH level?

Are you feeling warmer, shaky, losing weight....

I'd definitely get someone to look into this for you.

Default hi

Actually, I am waiting for some more results..5 days back, my PCP told me that my TSH level is less than .01, thatz very low, she said that it might be due to overactive thyroid gland..today the nurse practitioner called me and told me that my t3 and t4 values are ok..and said that the doctor would call me soon.. i am waiting for her call, feeling very nervous..As of now, it is low level of TSH, t3 and t4 are normal, may be a pituatary disorder, I am waiting:-((((((

thank you all for your support, shall keep u posted.

hi,

my dr spoke to me today, so itz confirmed. My TSH is very low .01, T3 and T4 are normal..i have an appointment with an endocrinologist who specializes in pituatary, thyroid and adrenal disorders...Since I have PCOS, I started doing a lot of exercise and diet and lost 20 pounds in a period of 8 months, and now I have another problem..There is lot of information in the net, some of them say that low TSH may be due to some problem in the adrenal gland or may be a tumor in the pituatary gland or hypothalamus..this is so scary!!! Really fed up :-(( Shall keep u all updated, plz wish me luck and health :-(
