Does PCOS cause low sex drive??

i'm starting to think it does. i have no sex drive. my dh complains all the time. i've read other posts and some ones have said that it does. i dont know for sure though.

Many women with PCOS have higher androgen levels, which actually cause increased sex drive. If you do a search you will be able to find discussions about this.

dx pcos 1984, type II diabetes 2001, also hypertension
Met 2000mg since 2001, started Glucophage XR 4/22/04, then switched to Met ER 6/04; also: multi, Vit. C, Vit. E, B12/folic acid combo, fish oil & borage oil combo, garlic capsules, cinnamon, Vitex, calcium with magnesium/zinc, biotin, CoQ10, selenium,iron
Other meds: Verapamil and Altace(for blood pressure)
Started laser hair removal 7/29/03, completed 3/04 (it works!)
UAE for fibroid 3/24/03 and 3/16/04

I believe it can...my sex drive all but disappeared as soon as my symptoms of PCOS appeared.

My dh says I have a low sex drive. I honestly don't think that I do, but when you work, have the majority of childrearing and household work on your shoulders, by 10PM I'm looking at him like he's crazy. Also the time during my cycle plays a big part, and af that comes and doesn't want to go away too.
