hi all,
I just had to share this, cuz it seems like good news.
I'm a hospital, nite shift nurse. I'm due this friday for a general check-up/blookwork with my GP. Thus, I had bloodwork done at work this past week. I ate dinner about 5PM, and then was fasting, til about 1Am, when I had a lab technician draw my blood, so I could eat. They could only process my labs about 6AM, due to dayshift having to print patient info/labels, etc., so my blood was sitting for awhile, but was at least drawn, so I could eat. They called me on the floor on dayshift, sayin that my glucose was a 'critical low' at 47. (I had eaten since the bloodwork was drawn & was quite alright!)
I was ecstatic!!! They did not yet have my 3-month sugar (HbA1C), but I'm excited to review my labwork with the doc this week!!! Thus, I've only been taking my 500mg (met) every other day, instead of every day. But, this just made my day, that maybe I can stop, or at least cut back on my met. Just had to share!!!
