Question Lower Abdominal Bloating

Hello there!

I was wondering if anyone else is experience lower abdominal bloating on metformin? I am taking 1500 tid, and my stomach is pooching more than ever.

I have always been pretty thin through the mid-section, but things are changing. It looks weird to me, but maybe it's just early 30's weight gain or something.

This is also a sign of ovarian cancer, but I'm thinking that it's probably metformin.

Any thoughts?

My lower abdomen gets really bloated the week before AF-- but it has always been like that for me.
You have not noticed this before with any other cycles? How long have you been on met?

I am totally bloated in my lower tummy. I thought I read this was normal, so I haven't been too concerned and hoped it would go away after a couple of months on Met. (It has only been 1 month)

I hope it isn't permanent. I am afraid that my co-workers are going to start asking if I am pregnant any day now

Default Metformin Bloating

I have been on the full dose of metformin (1500mg) for 4 months now. It took me awhile to get to this dose (I felt like my sugars wefre bottoming out and I would zone out).

The bloating started in August, the first full month of taking the right dose of met. The bloating and tiredness have been there ever since. I am going to buy vitamin B12 for the energy problem and hope that the bloating goes away. I have gained about 2 inches in my stomach area and not much anywhere else. Weird, huh?

My boobs really hurt for 7 days before my period. Is this normal?

Thanks for all of your responses and keep them coming! It makes me feel a lot less alone.
