Interesting! There hasn't been a case of breast cancer on my Mom side of the family ever that I know of. I wonder if it's a genetic link or a hormone link.

Hmmm, all 3 of my mom's sisters have or have had breast cancer. So far at least one aunt has the genetic mutation that predisposes people to cancer.
I go next week to find out if I have it.
This article makes me feel a bit better.

This is the exact quote in the article:

"Overall, women who had ovulatory disorders had a 25 percent lower likelihood of developing breast cancer than those who did not."

This is odd, since the opposite might seem to be true. I would have thought that breast cancer rates would be *higher* among those who had problems ovulating, because women who don't ovulate have unopposed estrogen.

Hmmm

That is a very interesting read! I have been worried because I too thought that a lack of Estrogen for a life time would be a problem.

Thanks for posting
