so, has anyone else ever had problems with their lymph nodes swelling under their armpits? this has been occuring for as long as I've ever had a period... it happens about once every couple of months, and it becomes uncomfortable to even have my arm stay down. after a few days, the swelling goes away and I don't have anymore problems. I was just curious if this had happened to anyone else. ( i thought maybe from the hormonal imbalance??)
Thanks ladies! Hope all is well with you!

I haven't had that happen, but last year, I had what I think is a lymph node swell in my groin. I went to a surgeon and he said it wasn't anything and sent me home...Well, I still have it. I mentioned this to my doctor in passing one day and he wants to do a biopsy on it. It doesn't come and go and it hasn't grown any more either. I really don't think it is anything, at least I hope not. I have to get up the courage to go for the biopsy. I am a whimp. Good luck I hope you find the answers you are looking for....

I get these too. I was told I was drinking to much caffeine.
But, do go to your doctor and have it checked out.

Hmm.. flyfisher, I hope all goes well for you. It takes a lot of courage to do a biopsy on these things... a doc wanted me to do one before, and I didn't do it because well, he's a known quack...it's just the fact that he's the doc that everyone goes to for little things here on campus. I'd never heard the caffeine theory... that may be true, but I'm not a coffee or pop drinker (pop is only on occasion). Thanks for giving me some advice ladies! ((Hugs))

I am totally off caffine because it was making my heart skip beats....I only drink diet sodas on occassion...I usually drink water....I decided to go to the doc the other day for the biopsy and he is on vacation..go figure..I get up the courage to do so and he isn't in the office..Oh well, I will try again this week...It hasn't grown since the surgeon and gp saw it, so I really don't think it is anything. Maybe a blocked gland or something...At least I hope not...
