Wow - it's been a long time since I was on these boards at all, but I don't know where else to go for support. I was diagnosed with PCOS several years ago. M/C'd in Sept 2003. Since then I have been trying to manage my cycle with supplements and diet change and did pretty good - felt better, got more regular. Anyway, found out I was pg at the end of March so I was prob about 5 weeks at that point. Now would be wk 7 and I just don't have any of the symptoms I had last week! Breasts less tender&swollen, still a bit queasy stomach but less so, not so fatigued, crampy (but no bleeding). Am I m/cing, or is this normal for symptoms to come and go? I called and tried to get an appt with my gyn but the first available was May 2 (and she's always been dubious about whether I am PCO even tho the diagnosis was made based on my LH/FSH ratio), by which time I'll either be 10/11 wks or this will be over. WWYD? I wish I just knew for certain what was going on. I try to be rational - if I am mcing this early, there really is nothing anyone could do to stop it, but then I just get so depressed. I was really excited about this. : ( I hate the waiting game. I used to think miscarriage just happened all of a sudden but now I know it can take weeks (my first one took over a month and I finally had to have a d&c) . . . I'm scared I did something to make this happen, but rationally I know I didn't. Sigh. Any insight would help.

Any chance you can in somewhere to get your bloodwork checked out? It would certainly offer a little peace of mind...

Also, even if you can't see your doctor, is there anyone else in the practice you can see, like a nurse practitioner or ultrasound technician?
Also, try posting over on the "PG Cysters" board to see if anyone else's symptoms come and go...I know the soreness of my bbs "came and went" in my first PG, which lasted 10 weeks.
The waiting game really stinks, doesn't it? Good luck and keep us posted...we all hope everything is OK.

I remember reading about it all the time on the Pregnancy board. Crampiness is normal as well. You should check out the thread in Pregnant Cysters for the month you are due in and ask them if they have similar experiences. I'm sure you'll find that they do.
I don't want to raise any false hopes, but I really think that you could still be okay. Hopefully you will be able to find a way to get some bloodwork done in the meantime. If your GYN doesn't want to see you, I would ask with your primary physician. My primary doc is always very willing to help me out even if the problem is not in her specialty. They can still order quantitative betas to see if your levels are going up or down. also, I'd be wary of any gyn who doesn't believe you have PCOS and doesn't think you need special attention. You may want to try to find a new one.
btw, I'm a Belle-mere too. I have two French stepdaughters

Call and talk to the dr and tell them that you've had a m/c and that you're afraid you're having another one, that you'd just like to have b/w done or even an u/s to make sure. I know that almost everyone I've talked to has lost their symptoms at one point or another. I too would ask over on the PG cysters forum and ask whether anyone has lost their symptoms as well.
Good Luck!

The waiting's the worst part. Make an appointment somewhere - another doc, whomever, and get your bloodwork done (and an US if they're willing).
With a history of M/C, I'm surprised your doc's office is being this uncaring. Either way, I'd find a new doc, and tell them why I was leaving.

Points: 2,255.72 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 2,255.72 | thanks ladies! I am not optimistic I have even fewer symptoms today - there's a definite downward spiral going on. At any rate, I do need to ditch my ob/gyn and this is probably the best reason to do it. I called to ask her to order blood tests at least and she's not even in today. Called my primary care manager to ask HIM to order blood tests and I'm waiting on him to call me back. Usually he'll do anything I ask, so I just hope I asked for the right thing - beta two days apart, right? I'm sure he'll know what to do if that's wrong. We'll see. Otherwise, i'm not cramping or anything - no brown or red discharge or even spotting. I really HOPE this is all just a normal loss of symptoms but I doubt it - I just don't FEEL pg anymore (other than being very tired and weepy, but that could be depression too). : ( Sad. I really wanted this baby. It took me about a year to recover from the last mc and I am not getting any younger! (and neither is my DH!!!)
