Hello everybody - I'm new here, but am wondering if any of you ladies are taking Maca and Metformin together? I just stated the Met today, but am still taking the Maca. Does anyone have any expierence with the two together? Thanks.  |

I used to take Maca! I took it along with Metformin and had no problems. Didn't work to make me ovulate or regulate my cycles so after almost 6 months I stopped taking it. Have you found Maca helping you?

LOL! I took Maca in a capsule form. I was told it tasted nutty if I chose to use the powder to make a drink. Never did though. Perhaps you could switch to capsules?

yeah... supposedly it would take 15-20 capsules to get the same amount of one TBSP of the powder. Some women even take two TBSPs of the stuff  I just can't bring myself to take 15-30 pills a day!  | |

Thank you for the link. I had dh taking it too! lol! It was quiet funny in the beginning, he was quiet randy. LMAO! It didn't help with his male factor and he wasn't having any impotence issues anyhow so he stopped. I still laugh thinking about those days!  I also thoguht I'd share that it's safe to take during pregnancy. Apparently it's a great 'herb'. There is someone who got her bfp from maca root on this forum (and a mixture of other herbs recommended by her naturopath, just can't recall what it all was). She's already had her baby, can't recall her username.... sorry. I just remember reading about her back when I was taking Maca and that was in '06 when I first started posting on here.
