Made it back from the Ultrasound The tech was super nice and has been doing it 16 years, and while her encouraging words were great, I still won't know for sure until the doctor sees them. But, from what she said... "your ovaries do not appear enlarged, no cysts, no irregularities in your uterus or endometrium. kidneys look fine and the thickness is 11 mm which can change depending on your cycle."
I told the tech I was worried about cancer and started bawling, and she was like "In my 16 years of doing this, I have come across maybe a COUPLE of people with endometrial cancer, and they were past their 50's AND your endometrium looks normal! most people with cancer you will see irregularities and the thickness would be far more"
Wasn't prepared for the Trans-vaginal, but they did it that way, as well as externally. The trans-vaginal one, she was having a hard time seeing but got really clear pictures on the external one.
What concerns me a bit, is my endometrial thickness was 11mm. I know that's fairly thick, but then again my last cycle was Oct 8th, so I assume it should be thicker right now. We'll see what the doctor does, but at least it's SOME good news, for a change.
I am just now nervous to hear if my doctor will need more tests due to the 11mm, or if she'll make me go on progesterone to induce a period and do another U/S in the beginning of my cycle, or what.....
My only other symptoms are, mild hirsutism, some acne, obesity, hbp and normal-high testosterone and slighty elevated DHEA-S.
It's all a huge mystery and I hope something is figured out soon. |
